I am so delighted to see the Richland Library open space in the main branch for coworking. For those of you who don’t know what coworking is, it is a shared workspace where entrepreneurs work independently alongside each other. I became fascinated with this concept a few years ago while working in an internship.
In a coworking space the atmosphere is one of creativity and collaboration. Some of the best ideas are formed when a group of individual start to brainstorm. The Richland library exhibits what is needed to in the business community. Opening a space for entrepreneurs and self-employed people is definitely a positive move in the right direction.
There is no fee to use the space, but you do need to have a Richland Library card. You will be able to reserve a desk for up to 4 hours a day. I hope to see other businesses with extra space or even builds do something like this.
